Our God of Justice

God knows exactly why people do what they do and He sees exactly what people do. He is the perfect Judge who rewards those who fear Him and put their faith in Him; and He is the perfect Judge who punishes sin and rebellion.

Please consider this statement by Wayne Grudem: “We must realize the immensity of the evil that is found in sin and rebellion against God, and the magnitude of the holiness and justice of God that calls forth this kind of punishment.”

In our study of Job 15, we saw that Eliphaz emphasized God’s justice on the wicked. While Job was not suffering under God’s justice, it is still important to consider the sobering truth that God judges sin. Thinking on this truth will lead us to Jesus and how His death on the cross satisfied our God of justice.
