And what do we need? We need help… just like Job did… from the only One who can give it to us. As Job expressed his extreme difficulty and suffering in chapters 16 and 17, he also expressed his great faith in God and his desperate plea for His help. What beautiful, profound and prophetic statements Job made… even though he didn’t know how his requests would be fulfilled.

Job 16:19-21  Even now, behold, my witness is in heaven, and He who testifies for me is on high. My friends scorn me; my eye pours out tears to God,  that He would argue the case of a man with God, as a son of man does with his neighbor.

Isn’t that incredible? Job wanted God to help him like a man would help his friend. That was God’s plan all along… and that’s why we have Christmas. I’ll explain how all this fits together in the video below. (by the way…I’m not singing!)
