“I’m going away.”

These words of Jesus rocked the world of the disciples. They didn’t want Him to go away. How could it be good for Him to go away? The disciples didn’t understand.

Jesus gave the disciples, and therefore us, the information that we needed. His words were comforting and full of hope! His death, resurrection and ascension prepared the way for us to enter the heavenly, holy presence of God the Father. We get to go live with Him forever if we believe in Jesus as the One who died in our place.
