About the Bible

I am totally fascinated with God’s Word.

There is no other way to truly know our Holy God and His wonderful Son than through reading the Bible. It tells us everything that we need to know right now, and leaves enough mystery about God to remind me that He is God and I am not! If you aren’t already reading Scripture every day, please start today!

Psalm 1:1-3  Blessed is the man who does not walk in the counsel of the wicked or stand in the way of sinners or sit in the seat of mockers. But his delight is in the law of the LORD, and on his law he meditates day and night.

I want to share one of my favorite statements regarding the accuracy of God’s Word. It sounds a little “academic”, but the gist of it means that I can completely trust everything that I read in the Bible, even if I don’t understand all of it at this moment in time.

“Inerrancy means  that when all of the facts are known, the Scriptures in their original autographs and properly interpreted will be shown to be wholly true in everything that they affirm, whether that has to do with doctrine or morality or with the social, physical, or life sciences.”  – Paul D Feinberg, “The Meaning of Inerrancy,” in Inerrancy, pg 294.

I believe 2 Timothy 3:16-17: All Scripture is inspired by God and is profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, for training in righteousness; so that the man of God may be adequate, equipped for every good work.

Dig into the Bible! Study God’s word for yourself! I’d love to help you. I’ve written study guides on the books of Ephesians, Ezekiel, Job, Psalms, Micah, Matthew, the letters to the Thessalonians, and Hebrews.
Descriptions of these studies and previews of the workbooks can be found by clicking on the titles in the tabs above.
