John 14:6-26 Life in Christ

What do you think about the bright pink graphic that I’ve used as a background to this statement from Jesus?

Jesus’ words are full of hope and promise and love. And they are profound. Deep. Perhaps even a bit mysterious. But Jesus wasn’t trying to keep any secrets from the disciples. His declarations were guarantees of what He was about to do and they were explanations of what our relationship with Him is to be. It is exciting and wonderful! So – I like the happy pink background!

In His last message to His disciples, right before His death (and resurrection and ascension), Jesus made it clear that He would send the Holy Spirit to dwell in those who believe in Him as the Son of God and Savior. John 14:19-20 is just one statement in the midst of the whole context of His message.

John 14:19-20 “A little while longer and the world will see Me no more, but you will see Me. Because I live, you will live also. At that day you will know that I am in My Father, and you in Me, and I in you.”

This statement tells us of the intimate union that Jesus and the Father have, which is an example of what our union with Jesus is like.

In my lecture, I will talk more about the relationship of the three persons of the Trinity, and the blessing of the believer’s life in Christ. I think it’s the best blessing of our salvation!

There is no powerpoint – but there is a special illustration in my video using the bags pictured below!
