John 16:26-27 Pray in Jesus’ Name

“God is great, God is good, let us thank Him for this food.”

I’m pretty sure that was the first prayer that I learned how to pray. I remember that I was so little, and said it so fast, that the words coming out of my mouth sounded like: “gottusgrate.”

The “aha moment” came one day when I realized the actual words of this prayer! GOD IS GREAT!

I am so glad that my parents taught me to pray when I was very young.

Of course, Jesus is the best teacher on prayer, and He taught us everything we need to know about it. In His last message to His disciples, He explained to them that they would have a new way to pray. He said: “In that day you will ask in My name, and I do not say to you that I shall pray the Father for you; for the Father Himself loves you, because you have loved Me, and have believed that I came forth from God.” John 16:26-27 NKJV

The disciples would have the new privilege of praying directly to God the Father, and that privilege was given to them because they knew and loved Jesus, believing that He was the Son of God.

In the video, you’ll hear much more about prayer from the leader of our church’s Women of Prayer ministry. Sharon Daum has experienced the blessing of prayers prayed for her as well as the comfort of joining others in prayer.

Sharon will explain:

  • The Privilege of Prayer
  • The Promise of Prayer
  • The Prerequisite for Answered Prayer
  • The Pattern of Prayer
  • The Priorities of Prayer
  • Another Prerequisite for Prayer
  • The Product of Prayer

Enjoy her lesson, and enjoy the privilege of prayer with your heavenly Father!
