When Jesus was questioned by the chief priests, He did not shy away from declaring the truth of His identity. He did not deny His relationship with God or His purpose planned before the foundation of the world.

Because God the Father and God the Son wanted us to have the right kind of relationship with them, being friends and not enemies, God the Son came to earth and took matters into His hands so that He could reconcile us to God.

Reconciliation is at the heart of the gospel and is an amazing, wonderful gift that has been given to us.
