Job 3 – Why am I alive?

Why am I alive? Grief-stricken and in despair,  Job asked this after tragedy, death, and disease were thrown upon him by the hand of Satan.

Chapter 3 of the book of Job gives us Job’s emotional reaction to his suffering. He vents his pain. And he still holds fast his integrity! He still does not give in to Satan’s temptations to curse God. Good for you, Job! Thank you for clinging to our Holy God in the darkest days.

Ryan Chriscoe, a counselor on staff at The Shepherd’s Church, was a guest speaker for our class on Job 3. He shared important information on Job, and depression, and a biblical perspective that we can all apply. His talk is available in an audio format only, but is accessible through Youtube and my podcasts.
