A shocking, graphic preview of what is to come is described in Revelation 14:1-15:8. It is a description of the wrath of God and of the Lamb: it is their wrath against sinners who remain unrepentant and reject their offer of salvation.
This section of Scripture is a summary of several Old Testament prophecies that indicate that Jesus will return as the powerful, victorious King who will crush His enemies.
Revelation 14 has two sections:
1st – the wonderful, victorious Lamb on Mt. Zion
2nd – the awful harvesting and crushing of overripe grapes
These two sections go together, because when the Lamb of God, King Jesus, returns, He will crush His enemies who are “overripe” in their sin and rebellion.
We studied this passage in our workbooks, and learned that God is absolutely right and just in carrying out His wrath against unbelievers. And the saints in Heaven praise Him for doing so – not gloating over the eternal deaths of their enemies, but praising God for His holiness.
In my video below, I will review the actions and pauses of Revelation, which will show the timeline of the book of Revelation. When we understand the order of events, it helps us discern the signs of the times.
