Who is the Harlot on the Beast in Revelation 17? Where is Babylon, the great city, that will be destroyed according to Revelation 18?

I’ll answer these questions to the best of my understanding in my lecture below! Here are the two definition that I will share, and then talk about further:

Babylon the Harlot is the worldwide religious system –  portrayed as a woman, a harlot, riding a scarlet beast, the harlot will be destroyed by the beast and 10 kings.

Babylon the Great is the city that will be rebuilt, and be headquarters for world religion. Headquarters for world government. Headquarters for world finance. It will be prosperous, wealthy, full of life and entertainment – but it is all sinful and an abomination to the Lord.
