Sometimes life hurts. And there are a lot of different reasons for the pain. Seeing the death of Ezekiel’s wife in chapter 24 prompts us to consider the topic of suffering. Ezekiel experienced the pain of the loss of his precious wife because he was the Lord’s servant. Israel experienced the pain of the loss of their city and temple because of their sin. Jesus experienced the pain of the cross because of our sin.
