I think there is no other phrase in Scripture that captures all at the same time – the plan of God, the pain of our Savior, and the pleasures that we receive.
The phrase “the blood of Christ” communicates:
God’s ways of justice and deliverance and grace
the suffering and agony of Jesus’ death
the blessings that are ours when we believe in His substitionary death
I think there is no other phrase that communicates – at the same time:
Sorrow and Joy
Distress and Celebration
Agony and Victory
