Rise and shine and give God the glory!
When your light shines before men – they see your good works. Your works are to be what the Holy Spirit has led you to do and empowered you to do. That means that different people are different kinds of lights. Trust the Holy Spirit to lead you and light up your life just the way He wants to.
I asked our Bible study group to write on yellow strips of paper some ways that the light of Jesus Christ can shine through our lives, and I collected these “rays of sunshine” which you can see at the end of the video. Here are a few comments:
Spending time with my neighbors- eating meals together, babysitting for them, caring for them.
Engaging in simple conversation with people I come in contact with- cashiers, people who work in my building, my mail lady etc…
Taking time to say hello or even just smile.
Rise and shine and give God the glory!
