Hello there! Our Bible study on Hebrews didn’t meet during the Christmas holidays, so when we gathered together again it was a great time for a review.
And, I was not able to be in attendance because my dear mother was experiencing some unusual symptoms. She has ALS which is a disease that will cause deterioration of her muscles until it basically takes her breath away. I left town unexpectedly, and turned to the wonderful servant-leaders who partner with me in Bible study to take over and make the first class after our break run smoothly. I stayed with my parents for several days, and after she received a diagnosis of a treatable infection, I came back home.
These leaders are such a blessing! Everyone pitched in to help in one way or another and they handled administrative items, classroom set up, new ladies joining the study, and extra preparation to lead not only the regular homework discussion but also the review.
And women in our studies joined together in prayer and encouragement for me and my parents. That too was so very special. Here’s a fun Facebook post from some of them:
I am so happy to share, with you who are following along, this excellent review from our study so far. It was written by Chrissy Morton, one of my discussion leaders. (Just want to give credit where credit is due!)
I am so thankful for women who love the Lord, depend on Him, study His word diligently, and take their responsibility seriously. We are to:
2 Timothy 2:15 Be diligent to present yourself approved to God, a worker who doesn’t need to be ashamed, correctly teaching the word of truth.
They are!
