1 Thessalonians 5:1-22 Living in the Light

1 Thessalonians 5:2-5

For you yourselves know very well that the Day of the Lord will come just like a thief in the night. 3 When they say, “Peace and security,” then sudden destruction comes on them, like labor pains on a pregnant woman, and they will not escape. 4 But you, brothers, are not in the dark, so that this day would overtake you like a thief.

5 For you are all sons of light and sons of the day. We’re not of the night or of darkness.

In the Light vs. In the Dark

This is what we don’t want to forget! In 1st Thessalonians 5, Paul describes the characteristics of a disciple of Christ. We who have been saved out of the darkness of sin and death should be living in the light and the light of Christ should be shining through us. This chapter gives us many specific and practical activities and attitudes that are the normal behavior of a Christian.

I’ve created a “Family Activities” page based on 1 Thessalonians 5:12-28 to show the love and light of these characteristics!
