When my son was born, a friend gave me a book that she said was a classic: Goodnight Moon. I guess it was already a classic, even though I had never heard of it. Its very simple good nights – with darkening scenes from page to page – set the stage for a quiet close to the day with my sweet little boy. It’s appropriate even now, as the day comes to an end, and the computer screen is glowing in the dark room. It’s time to say: goodnight, moon.
A sweet update… our first grandchild is 2 years old now… and I’ve pulled out that book! It’s a wonderful blessing to read this book to her at naptime and bedtime. (8/20/19)
