(corresponds to Follow Me workbook: Unit 2, Lesson 1 – 3; lecture on Oct 5)
Oh, this is true! It’s not just that I’m having a nice day today and feel good about life. I am blessed because God in His grace gave His Son Jesus to take my place on the cross. I am blessed because Jesus gave His life so that I can be forgiven of my sins. I am blessed because this gift of God and this sacrifice of Jesus has saved me from having to handle the very big problem of being in trouble with God! I’m not in trouble with God anymore! I do, however, still have some troubles in my life. But I am blessed. I’ll explain this more in my lesson!

Here’s the video of Stephen Curtis Chapman playing his ukelele and the song “Long Way Home”. Listen to his perspective and smile. I love the phrases in the song: “even on the best days, remember we aren’t home yet” and “our God has made a promise and I know everything He says is true”.
